Decorating Through the Seasons Starts with These Cottage Staples from Decor Steals

Welcome to the very first edition of Cottage Style, the Krystle Way...  a monthly peek inside my home where I share how I bring timeless, collected charm into every corner. I'm so excited to kick things off with some of my favorite steals from Decor Steals and show you how I styled them in our new home.

When I think about cottage style, it's not just about the furniture or the decor pieces themselves- it's about creating a feeling. A little nostalgia, a touch of romance, and a lot of "come on in, you're welcome here friend!" This month's focus? A mix of textures, warm woods, and those stand out, vintage inspired pieces that make a space feel collected over time.

Reclaimed Wood Display Heirloom Cabinet with Glass Doors:

Every home needs that one piece that just as beautiful as it is functional. I styled it with glass pitchers, wicker cloches, and vintage finds that change with the seasons.

Distressed White Storage Grandfather Clock:

With its distressed finish and classic face, this clock looks like it's been here for decades. it instantly adds a timeless, heirloom feel.

Whitewashed Spindle Side Table:

Turned legs and petite size make these tables one of my cottage favorites. They're easy to move and perfect for lamps, blooms, candles, or seasonal accents.

Natural Wood Console Table:

This statement piece behind our sofa - styled with greenery, a floral vase, and baskets below for storage and charm. This creates a sense of welcoming to the living space. While it's currently out of stock, be sure to sign up to be the first to know when the next batch arrives!

Chinoiserie Bird and Vine Vase:

A favorite accent that works in every season. Right now, it's filled with soft green hydrangeas but it's just as lovely with dried stems or evergreens too.

Antique Inspired Fireplace Mantel:

I saved my favorite for last. Even without a working fire, this carved mantel is a focal point in our formal dining room. I love decorating it with vintage clock faces and seasonal touches.

When you're building your own cottage style friend, find a few base pieces you love so much they stay year-round. The shelf, the tables, the mantel... they don't move but their styling changes completely from season to season.

Over the months ahead, you'll see me transform these staples to suit the time of year - from spring's breezy greens to autumn's warm glow, and the twinkle of Christmas.

Be sure to follow @decorsteals for daily steals that sell out fast, and follow me @krystlemarienickels for more cottage inspired styling ideas, tips, and whole lot of cozy charm.

See you next month friend- September 1st for some cozy cottage fall decor, the Krystle Way. Cheers!
